Groves-Raines Architects

Gavin McNab

Gavin has gained over 18 years of professional experience since graduating from the Mackintosh School of Architecture. In his varied career he has led and contributed to a range of projects, from small, design-led domestic developments to the award winning refurbishment of Maryhill Burgh Halls in Glasgow. In recent years his career has focused in the field of conservation and traditional architecture, feeding his passion for traditional detailing.

Gavin joined Groves-Raines Architects in July 2014 and whilst working towards RIAS Conservation Accreditation; he has a lead role in some of the practice’s largest refurbishment projects. He mentors the office’s architectural assistants, leading them to successfully achieve their part 3 qualification – and aims to become an APEAS part 3 examiner.

In his spare time Gavin enjoys cooking (often treating colleagues to his famous chilli sauces), yoga and surfing (not very well).
